Use the smartphone audio guide in one of five languages, then explore royal rooms, gardens, sacred relics, jewelry, and Bosphorus views on your own. Plan at least two hours, and stay longer if you can.

“The palace is incredibly extensive. Each room had something different to see and learn about. The gardens are beautiful. Queues to the treasury were way too long so we had to miss that. Our guide had too many people with him and we nearly got left behind. He needs a better pole with a flag instead of his black umbrella. But he was very helpful and informative. We highly recommend this experience, just give yourself a full day to see everything and appreciate the splendor properly. You won't be disappointed.Read more”

We were lucky to have Burga as our tour guide—he was fun and engaging from the moment we met him. Our group included a 13-year-old boy, and Burga made sure he stayed interested and entertained throughout the tour. There wasn’t much to see at the House of Mary, but the Ephesus ruins were absolutely amazing—so vast and full of history. Be prepared for a lot of walking! We ended the day with a visit to a rug factory, which was interesting to see, though I personally would have preferred to spend…”

“I cannot recommend this skip the line prepurchase ticket enough. I also highly recommend booking the first time slot (9:00AM) for the Hagia Sophia. If we hadn't pre-purchased these tickets on GYG, we would have waited at least an hour (probably longer) just to purchase tickets in the ticket line, and would have waited even longer after that to get through security and finally be admitted. If you are a first time visitor on a short trip to Istanbul and can't afford to lose hours waiting in lines, etc. you should definitely consider prepurchasing these tickets.”
